BACKGROUND & RATIONALEThe Pedagogical Supervision System (SSP) is an essential tool for monitoring, evaluating, and improving the practices of early childhood educators in São Tomé and Príncipe. Its implementation has strengthened educational quality, promoted continuous professional development, and supported evidence-based decision-making. Within the scope of the partnership with the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (IPB), the need to modernize the SSP was identified in order to make it more functional, intuitive, and data-driven. The proposed upgrade includes the integration of analytical dashboards, the strengthening of user capacities, and the enhancement of visualization functionalities, enabling faster, more comprehensive, and more accessible analyses for supervisors, educators, and decision-makers within the education system. This modernization aims not only to optimize the pedagogical supervision process but also to reinforce a culture of monitoring and evaluation in the pre-school education sector, contributing to more effective interventions aligned with national priorities.
