U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is conducting market research to gain a greater understanding of the full range of available options for Rapid Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) testing services and support. Rapid DNA testing services and support, is required to allow CBP the ability to offer and perform Rapid DNA testing at CBP field locations for purposes of verifying a claimed biological parent-child relationship in accordance with CBPs legal obligations governing the processing of noncitizen parents and children. Rapid DNA test results are requested in about 90 minutes from the time a sample is inserted into the diagnostic machine. Rapid DNA testing services will be implemented five days a week (M-F) from 7am to 5pm at multiple CBP field locations along the Southern Border.
