As part of the project to support the development of aquaculture professions in Morocco (STADIF), several structuring actions were implemented in order to strengthen the technical, operational and technological capacities of the beneficiaries, by particularly through the installation of pilot aquaculture farms at sea and the development of integrated training systems at the level of the Maritime Professional Qualification Center (CQPM) of Sidi Ifni. These systems aim to ensure an increase in competence of beneficiaries across the entire aquaculture value chain, by integrating not only production techniques, but also modern tools for monitoring, control and management of installations in the marine environment. With this in mind, the project provides for the acquisition of two remotely operated underwater vehicles (ROV - Remotely Operated Vehicles), in addition to existing equipment at the demonstration farms. Objective This acquisition is part of a global approach aimed at position the training system at the level of international best practices in aquaculture, integrating the following dimensions: - Modernization of educational tools; - Digitalization and technologization of aquaculture practices;- Preparation of beneficiaries for the requirements of modern offshore operations;- Development of national expertise in the use of underwater technologies.
