The RAM is a macro level tool that assists countries to understand where they stand on the scale of preparedness to implement AI ethically and responsibly for all their citizens, highlighting what institutional and regulatory changes are needed. The output from the RAM exercise, a country report, will assist Member States to tailor capacity building efforts to the needs of their respective contexts. Here, capacity means the ability to assess AI systems in line with UNESCO-s Recommendation and ensure that the country has in place human capital, policies, and regulations to address the challenges brought about by AI technologies and that the interest of citizens are always at the centre of AI development. As part of the final country-level report, a roadmap, including concrete policy recommendations will be designed, highlighting conclusions of the process and suggesting a path forward that reflects national priorities, in terms of specific institutions that need to be built and/or enhanced to implement the Recommendation. In view of the above, and with support from the Japanese Funds-in-Trusts, UNESCO is seeking a consultant to lead and oversee the process of developing a RAM report for ZambiaIf you are interested please request for TORs from vacancies.harare@unesco.org
