This assignment is carried out within the 'Admission Policy for National Inland Waterways' project. This project is aimed at dealing with exemptions for oversized ships (BPR art. 9.02). The aim of the project is to deal with exemptions for oversized ships to evaluate and adjust where necessary. The objectives of IenW and RWS are taken into account: smooth and safe traffic over water and asset management as the main process with a focus on the basic quality level. From earlier parts of the project has shown that the current handling of exemptions for oversized ships is no longer desirable. RWS therefore intends to stop granting exemptions in the current form. On the other hand, that is true on a regular basis regular basic exemptions have been granted, formalization in the 'Regulation on communication and dimensions of National Inland Waters' (RCar) is being considered. For this consideration, an assessment must be carried out that checks for safety, smoothness and impact asset management. The assignment is divided into: 1. Drawing up an assessment method 2. Applying this assessment method to a selection of waterways and objects (not part of the initial assignment)
