EirGrid would like to establish a Framework Agreement for the provision of sustainability consultancy services. EirGrid-s Sustainability Strategy is a cornerstone of its overall strategy, aimed at transforming Ireland-s electricity system to meet climate action goals and support a low-carbon future. EirGrid is working to decarbonise the grid to meet Irish Government targets for 80 percent of our electricity to come from renewable sources, requiring significant infrastructure upgrades, technological innovation, and enhanced interconnectivity with neighbouring grids. Alongside these large strategic projects, EirGrid has adopted science-based targets, is implementing sustainable procurement practices, and is aligning its reporting with EU sustainability directives, like CSRD. EirGrid requires the support of expert consulting services to provide strategic Sustainability / ESG advisory input across areas such as best practice and thought leadership, compliance, risk, reporting and data, targets, analysis and measurement, sustainability projects and programmes. The Framework Agreement period will be for an initial duration of five years with the option to extend annually for up to an additional three years, subject always to the satisfactory performance of the suppliers. EirGrid envisages qualifying up to 6 Candidates from this pre-qualification process, subject to the quality of responses received.

In 2024 EU-OSHA ran the fourth European Survey of Enterprises on New and Emerging Risks (ESENER 2024) with the aim of providing nationally comparable information on how workplaces across Europe manage health and safety. Substantial analyses of the results of the three previous waves of ESENER, carried out in 2009, 2014 and 2019, have provided a valuable insight into how occupational safety and health (OSH) is managed in practice across Europe; what the main drivers and barriers are; how stress, violence and harassment are managed; the use of digital technologies and its impact on the health and safety of employees ; and how employees are involved. ESENER 2024 has maintained the methodological changes implemented back in 2014 and the questionnaires since then are largely the same too, which enables trend analyses. In each of the three previous waves of ESENER, EU-OSHA published an Overview report of the findings , showing the main results by country, activity sector and size class for the four sections of the survey: OSH management, Psychosocial risk management, Drivers and barriers to OSH, and Worker participation. This call for tender invites bids for the development of an in-depth analysis of the ESENER 2024 findings, including a comparison with those of ESENER 2014 and 2019, that will lead to an Overview Report.

Nanoporous membranes, i.e. typically polymer films with pores with a diameter of 10nm to 80nm, play a central role in many technological applications such as battery and fuel cell membranes, water filtration and biomedicine. The large-scale technical one Production is currently chemically and process-technically complex and often involves environmentally harmful steps (e.g. evaporation of organic solvents). The process by Prof. Kurt Kremer, which has been patented by the Max Planck Society (WO2024208713A1) circumvents all of these complications and is based exclusively on the mechanical deformation of long-chain polymers and their subsequent cooling. No other components or additives are used, the process is simple and should be universally applicable. While the first laboratory experiments at the MPI for Polymer Research have proven the basic feasibility and basic material properties, the next step is to validate the process Industrial-like production conditions are required at a service provider with available and inexpensive technical polymers. The aim is to investigate the reproducibility and scalability of the technology in order to transfer it to industrial applications Prepare applications. The Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research is looking for a service provider to carry out the validation project. This opportunity is an Open Procedure advertised by Defra group Commercial on behalf of Defra. The Wye catchment covers two nations, and five counties, and contains a complex mix of land use, including agriculture, urban areas, and a wealth of protected sites. With this varied geography comes a complex stakeholder landscape, combining a range of values and interests. This also brings a range of pressures on the water environment of the catchment. Defra and the Welsh Government are seeking to deliver a research project to investigate sources of pollution and pressures affecting the Wye and develop and test ways to improve land management for water quality using a 'living-labs' approach to test solutions with local stakeholders. Additionally, the project will identify best practice approaches to undertaking research involving complex stakeholder groups. The aims of the research programme are to build on existing evidence and work alongside stakeholders to: β€’ Investigate the sources of the pollution and pressures affecting the river, in particular focussing on agricultural pollution β€’ Study the impacts of changing farming practices and land management in the catchment β€’ Develop and test new ways to improve land management to improve water quality, which are suitable for the Wye catchment and will also be transferable to other catchments, using a 'living-labs' approach to test solutions β€’ Examine what's driving wildlife decline and water flow - the movement and quantity of water ...
