The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District, will use information obtained under this source sought for Hague Basin, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA), New York, Federal Navigation Project.
The intent of this sources sought is to access industry's small business concerns including 8(a) companies with an SBA approved office, Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUB Zone) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), and all small businesses under the size standard, capability and interest in performing a dredging within Hague Basin, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA), New York, Federal Navigation Project
The New York District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) proposes to perform maintenance dredging of portions of the Hague Basin, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA), New York, Federal Navigation Project. The dredged material would be processed and subsequently transported to and placed at a contractor-furnished, State permitted upland placement site(s). The proposed maintenance dredging would remove approximately 51,640 cubic yards (CY) of critical shoals from Hague Basin, USMMA. Approximately 9,375 CY of material would be dredged to a depth of 15 feet below MLLW with 2 feet overdepth dredging from Area 1 and approximately 42,265 cubic yards (CY) of material would be dredged to a depth of 12 feet below Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW) with 2 feet overdepth dredging from Area 2 for a total of 4.35 acres. The dredged material is expected to consist primarily of silt and clay.
Due to anticipated restrictions found in the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Water Quality Certificate, the proposed work can only be performed by utilizing a mechanical dredge with a closed clamshell environmental bucket. Construction of hilly reservoirs in Vas and Zala counties, construction of GyΓΆngyΓΆs reservoir ------------------------- As detailed in point II.2.4) of the RF. The utilization of the GyΓΆngyΓΆs reservoir complex and the rehabilitation of the GyΓΆngyΓΆs flow water system within the framework of the investment in order to utilize the complex of the ZalaszΓ‘ntΓ³i reservoir (hereinafter: GyΓΆngyΓΆs reservoir) built in the 1980s, the existing combined flood control structure will be rebuilt, the embankment will be raised, and silt will be removed from the currently silted up reservoir in consultation with the nature conservation department, and a permanent water surface with a depth of approx. 1-1.5 m will be created in the reservoir area. The planned interventions are the following: β€’ Construction of a 101,000 m3 reservoir β€’ Drainage structure (technically a water-permeable structure, an energy-dissipating artefact): renovation of stone and concrete structures, installation of a new barrier structure and moving equipment, conversion of the operating bridge β€’ Restoration of the valley barrier: harvesting of trees, removal of root systems by demolishing the embankment, restoration of the embankment β€’ Reservoir area dredging: removal of sediment deposited in the reservoir area, arrangement of the forecourt of the building, creation of a small water bed in the reservoir area β€’Establishment of a stabilized working road and exit ramp, construction of a road connection with a barrier closure β€’Development of paved belt ditches in the in the protection of the planned work road and ramp β€’The GyΓΆngyΓΆs-folys and Γ“-berek channel are small watercourses in the hills 10,000 m long river bed arrangement: taking ecological aspects into account profile extension...
