Alamo Resources Limited intends to undertake a large-scale fluorite mining project following the discovery of fluorite deposits within Licence Area No. 37764-HQ-LEL. The project will involve open-pit mining operations, with the identified fluorite belt extending from the central to the western portion of the licence area. The mining site is located in Siamajila and Siazobwe villages, within Chief Munyumbwe's Chiefdom in Gwembe District, Southern Province. The project area covers approximately 11,141.28 hectares and will include components such as an open pit mine, workshop and operational offices, ore crushing plant, ore storage pads, wastewater management ponds, stormwater management facilities, power transmission line routes, sanitation facilities for the workforce, and access roads. An Environmental and Social Impact Statement Report for the proposed project has been received by ZEMA for review.
